Finding Strength in Self-Discovery
For Rachel Kister, attending 水多多导航 Clarion wasn鈥檛 just about following in her sister鈥檚
footsteps鈥攊t was about carving her own path. As a communication major, she quickly found ways to get involved, taking on leadership roles in the University
Activities Board, Student Senate, Eagle Media, and even serving as a student trustee.
"I wanted to make the most of every opportunity. Being involved on campus helped me grow鈥攏ot just academically, but as a leader and as a person."
Her biggest challenge turned into one of her proudest accomplishments鈥攔eviving Eagle Media Productions, a student-run organization that had faded after COVID.
"I saw an opportunity to bring it back, to give students a creative space again. It wasn鈥檛 just about media production; it was about rebuilding a community."
For Kister, communication is more than a major鈥攊t鈥檚 a way to connect people and share meaningful stories. Now, she鈥檚 exploring opportunities in public relations and media, while also making time to travel and experience new perspectives.
"I鈥檝e realized that growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. Whether it鈥檚 leading a student organization or traveling to a new place, I want to keep pushing myself forward."
