Office for Students with Disabilities

A service dog assisting a student at graduationThe Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) supports 水多多导航 in providing learning opportunities for a diverse population. We work to ensure that students with documented disabilities have equal access to University programs and services and are able to participate fully in academic and campus life.

If you are a student with disabilities, the OSD is available to work in partnership with you to enhance your prospects for academic success at 水多多导航. This partnership means that:

  • You are responsible for bringing appropriate levels of academic skills, interest, initiative, and self-advocacy to the University setting, whether you study on campus or online.
  • 水多多导航 is committed to providing reasonable accommodations, guided by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Requests for reasonable accommodations should be submitted directly to the Office for Students with Disabilities. If you are requesting an accommodation, you must provide documentation to substantiate your request and follow appropriate OSD procedures.

Please note that reasonable accommodations do not substantially alter the fundamental nature of the academic and/or technical standards of your 水多多导航 coursework and/or program.

The accommodation you request must be supported by the documentation on file, and the OSD reserves the right to request additional documentation.

Decisions regarding appropriate and reasonable accommodations rest with the Office for Students with Disabilities. Services of a personal nature are the student's responsibility.

Boro Opportunities For Organization and Study Techniques (BOOST)

The Boro Opportunities for Organization and Study Techniques (BOOST) program at 水多多导航 Edinboro supports students registered with the Office for Students with Disabilities by helping them strengthen academic skills and strategies for success. Through individualized services, students are paired with Peer Advisors for several hours each week and meet with OSD staff to develop time-management, organization, note-taking, test-taking, and study skills. While Peer Advisors are not content tutors, they guide students in accessing subject-specific tutoring offered by academic departments, promoting both academic and personal growth.
